Cybersecurity & AI (Senior) Engineer / Consultant (m/w/d)

YOUR TASKS

You bridge engineering and consulting: you find out what clients really need in cybersecurity and build it yourself with the help of AI. Our projects range from security operations and identity & access management to securing AI, mainly for banks and insurance companies.

  • You work with our clients to analyze processes, systems and security requirements and turn them into concrete solutions.
    • Additionally at senior level: You own sub-projects and are the point of contact for both business and management stakeholders.
  • You develop prototypes, automations and applications around cybersecurity and AI and take them all the way into production.
    • Additionally at senior level: You design architectures and make fundamental technical decisions.
  • You compare security products and new vendors, make their strengths and limitations transparent, and integrate existing solutions where it makes sense.
  • You use AI agents and coding tools deliberately and review their output before it reaches clients.
  • You design and run workshops and trainings, for example on the safe use of AI.
  • You spot new use cases at clients and help develop proposals and demos.
    • Additionally at senior level: You win follow-on engagements and help evolve our cyber service portfolio.
  • You share your knowledge with the team and make good solutions reusable.

Any security knowledge you’re still missing, you’ll pick up on projects and from our cyber team. Pentesting or SOC experience is not required.

YOUR PROFIL

Don’t want to choose between tech and consulting? With us, you don’t have to. We don’t replace security vendors; we test what they’re worth and build what’s missing. For that, we’re looking for people who can do both:

  • You have a degree in computer science, business informatics, engineering, a natural science or another technical field, or you bring comparable hands-on experience.
  • You’ve already written code and built something that’s in real use: at work, as a working student, in your own projects or at a startup.
  • You can join straight out of university; for the senior level, you bring at least 2 years of professional experience.
  • Working with AI is second nature to you. You understand its output and speak up when something isn’t right.
  • You can explain complex topics clearly and enjoy developing solutions with clients and helping shape proposals.
  • You have excellent German and English skills (at least C1 in both) and are willing to travel for client meetings.

Nice to have, but not required:

  • Experience with cloud, containers or identity systems such as Entra ID
  • Hands-on experience with AI agents, MCP or other LLM applications
  • Initial exposure to security operations, IAM or Zero Trust
  • Consulting experience or knowledge of a regulated industry
