AI Governance (Senior) Consultant (m/w/d)

YOUR TASKS

  • You analyze existing governance models and identify optimization potential in the context of AI.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You lead complex governance projects, assume strategic responsibility for the implementation of modern AI governance frameworks, and advise organizations on governance, risk, and compliance topics at the enterprise level.
  • You design and implement policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure robust AI governance.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You develop tailored governance strategies and solutions aligned with international compliance and ethical standards and advise on establishing new processes, committees, and clear accountability structures.
  • You support clients nationally and internationally in establishing compliance and ethical standards.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You advise executives and decision-makers on regulatory risks and support organizations in preparing for the EU AI Act, including integrating its requirements into existing processes, structures, and control systems.
  • You coordinate the implementation of governance processes within AI projects.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You oversee the implementation of governance processes, initiate continuous improvements, and collaborate closely with internal teams and clients, particularly in regulated industries.
  • You assess regulatory requirements and derive measures to ensure compliance with applicable legal frameworks.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You support the implementation and further development of ISO management systems and conduct or professionally accompany information security audits.
  • You mentor and coach junior consultants and foster knowledge transfer within the team.
  • You document processes and prepare reports to continuously improve governance structures.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You document project progress, present results in workshops, lead strategic discussions with stakeholders, and prepare well-founded decision materials.
 

YOUR PROFIL

  • You have successfully completed your studies and bring initial relevant practical experience, for example through internships or working student positions.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in consulting, auditing, or a comparable role.
  • You are passionate about topics such as governance or risk & compliance and have a solid theoretical foundation.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You bring extensive experience in regulation, governance, or risk & compliance.
  • You have a basic understanding of how AI models function and are interested in their governance and quality assurance.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You possess solid experience in cross-functional consulting on the design of AI control processes and in ensuring governance standards throughout the entire AI lifecycle.
  • You are highly motivated to explore frameworks for the safe use of AI and are interested in regulatory environments.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You have knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as NIS2, DORA, or MaRisk and ideally the EU AI Act, or you are willing to quickly and thoroughly develop expertise in this area.
  • You have basic knowledge of information security and ideally have gained initial insights into audit processes.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You have auditing experience, particularly in the field of information security, and ideally hold a certification as an ISO Lead Implementor and/or ISO Auditor.
  • You have the ability to understand complex requirements and enjoy translating them into practical measures.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You are able to confidently assess regulatory requirements, interpret them pragmatically, and translate them into concrete organizational, procedural, or technical measures.
  • You enjoy working in a team, take initiative, and are open to feedback and continuous development.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You take an active role within the team, foster professional exchange, and support the development of others. Initiative, ownership, and a reflective approach to feedback are natural for you.
  • You have strong communication skills and are confident communicating in both German and English.
    • Additionally at Senior Level: You communicate confidently in German and English, including with senior stakeholders.
